Foreign-trained Health Care Professionals
Three new projects assist foreign-trained health care professionals in obtaining licensure in Minnesota.
Three agencies—Workforce Development, Inc. of Rochester, The African & American Friendship Association for Cooperation and Development, and the International Institute, both in St. Paul—provide assistance to foreign-trained health care professionals.
Each of these agencies assists eligible foreign-trained health care professionals in assessing the steps and overcoming the barriers to becoming licensed in Minnesota. Funding is available to pay for licensing exams, registration, study materials, classes, and English language/literacy training needed to successfully complete exams and classes.
These health care professionals will eventually be able to use their skills to do the work for which they were trained, and Minnesotans will be among the beneficiaries. For more information, contact:
