Recruiting
The Minnesota WorkForce Center-Ramsey County offers several no fee services to help you find workers:  

• On-site Facilities to Interview Job Applicants (Business of the Day)
  You may increase the number of job seekers you attract by interviewing applicants in the employer area of our resource room.

• Keyboard Skill Testing
  We offer keyboard skill testing for applicants. Applicant will be given a certificate of proficiency. 

Reduce Tax and Business Costs

Get a Tax Credit - You could qualify for tax credits for hiring people from targeted groups including welfare recipients and disadvantaged youth with the Work Opportunity Tax Credit and Welfare to Work  programs.  

Downsizing Option: Save human resource costs when your company experiences a downturn in business. If your company qualifies, employees can work reduced hours and collect partial Reemployment Insurance benefits to make up lost wages with the Shared Work Program. Examine Your Workforce: Increase profits by assuring that your employees have the skills necessary to make your company more productive. Job Analysis is a fee-based service that can also help you maintain compliance with EEO and ADA.

Get the Facts You Need: See how your wages compare to averages in your geographic area. Get the information you need to expand or move. Keep your salaries competitive. A variety of free and low-cost publications that forecast job market and economic trends, provide employment and unemployment statistics, and more is available and updated regularly. A whole library of labor market information and advice on employment issues is readily available through our Internet site or through experts at the WorkForce Center.

Job Service Employer Committee
Mission: To represent employers as primary customers of the Minnesota WorkForce Center System by keeping them informed about labor exchange and Unemployment Insurance operations, sharing sound principles of business management, and recommending ways of improving service to employers and job seekers.  The Job Service Employer Committees.

Workforce Investment Board
The Ramsey County, Minnesota Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is a 50-member board created under the Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) legislation. The WIB works in partnership with the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. 

Our vision: To maintain and improve the economic vitality of the Ramsey County East Metropolitan Area by developing the best-trained, best-educated, and most highly skilled workforce.
